Good Word, Chris--it's especially appropriate in light of all the upcoming career decisions we have to make. It definitely reduces the stress we feel about picking "right" to remember that God has a plan for us (though we have to make sure we're doing what God requires to realize it).

Great word of the day! Thanks for your thoughts.

It is so easy to spend law school - and life for that matter - with your head down, and your shoulder to the grindstone. But, when I take the time to look up (and look to Jesus), I find that eternity taps me on the shoulder. Sometimes, this reminder relates to community. Accordingly, I just want to draw out one more truth alluded to above. It's a truth at the foundation of eNgage: Community is eternal!

Men of eNgage, as fellow members of Christ's Church, we will be friends for eternity! Just another reason to continue to build each other up!

I've said it before, but I don't say it enough: I love and appreciate each one of you guys! Thanks for being such a huge part of my law school experience.

Thanks for your thoughts Robert!

Interestingly, my honors negotiation class has dedicated a great deal of time to learning about 'mindfulness,' and how to keep from being 'positional' in negotiation. Of course, positional thinking is almost automatic! This is because conflict is inherently emotional, and emotions are polarizing. I think your admonition to embrace humility is key to maintaining open lines of communication and winning people to Christ!

Great post Craig - thanks for your thoughts!

I am continually amazed at how I play games with God. Objectively, I can't believe I didn't stop this behavior a long time ago. However, I still rationalize all kinds of things, from bad attitudes to why I am entertaining impure thoughts. Amazingly, no matter how many games we play, or how many times we try and play games, God is always there to restore us when we return. Therefore, we do well to keep tabs on how we are approaching him, and to repent when we inevitably find that we are once again trying to play by our own rules.
